【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansforresinproducersandusersaswellassolventandvarnishmanufacturerstoratevarioustypesofresinsforsolubilitybyassigninganumericaldilutabilityvalue.Thispercentdilutabilityvaluecanbeusedtodifferentiateresintypesforendusersandcanbeutilizedasaqualitycontroltoolbyresinmanufacturers.Whenrunningaseriesoftheseteststhesamelotorbatchofdilutionsolventmustbeusedthroughouttoensurereproducibleresults.1.1Thistestmethodcoversbothvolumetricandgravimetricdeterminationofresinsolutiondilutabilitywhichgivesanumericalvaluefortheoverallsolubilityoftheresinexpressedaspercentdilutability.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableonlyifthetestsolutionisofsufficientclaritytoallowaccuratevisualjudgementoftheendpointandoflowenoughviscosityforefficientmixingtotakeplace.1.3Thistestmethodisprimarilyfor,butnotlimitedto,resinsusedintheprintinginkindustry.1.4Thepercentsolventtoleranceofaresincanbedeterminedusingthistestmethodifthesolventintheresinsolutionandthedilutionsolventarethesame.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
