【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardisconcernedwiththespecialtechnicalsafetyrequirementsforliquidpumpsandpumpunitsoperatingwithagrifoodstuffs.ItaugmentsEN809andcontainsalistoftheadditionalsignificanthazardswhichcanarisefromthepumpandpumpunitsusedwithsubstancesintendedforhumananddomesticanimalconsumption.IndraftingthisstandarditwasassumedthatthepumpsfallingwithinitsscopewillconformtoallrelevantrequirementofEN809.Italsoestablishesrequirementsand/ormeasureswhichleadtoareductionoftherisks.Thisstandardisnotintendedtobeusedforpumpsandpumpunitsatanystageinthepublicwatersupply,norforpumpshandlingpharmaceuticalproducts,norforanyotherapplicationforwhichmoreappropriatestandardscanexist.Conformitytothisstandardaimstoensurethatthepump,ifusedinaccordancewiththeinstructionhandbook,willremainsafeand,provideditisadequatelycleaned,willnotcausecontaminationofthepumpedproduct.Althoughitistheresponsibilityofthemanufacturertoensurethatthepumpcanbecleaned,duetotheinfluenceoftheproduct,theprocessandthecleaningregimeadopted,thehygieneofthepumpshouldultimatelybetheresponsibilityoftheend-user.Thepumpsandpumpunitswhichfallwithinthescopeofthisstandardaredescribedas:—rotodynamicpumps;—rotarypositivedisplacementpumps;—reciprocatingpositivedisplacementpumps.PumpshandlingagrifoodstuffswhichdonotfallwithinthisscopeshouldcomplywithEN1672-2.
